Wolverine recalls safety boots

28/08/2007

Wolverine has announced that it is voluntarily recalling around 9,500 pairs of its Caterpillar steel-toe logger boots owing to improper labeling.

The Chinese-made boots for men and women carried a label incorrectly stating they were resistant to electrical current, but Wolverine pointed out that it had received no reports of injuries.

The boots were sold across the US from September 2006 until July 2007 for between $90 and 130. The women's boots were black with the stock number P88030. Men's boots were sold in black and brown with stock numbers P88033 or P88034. The stock numbers are located on a label on the boots' tongue.
