Shoes on show at World Tango Championship

An unusual exhibition is taking place in Buenos Aires.
In parallel with the fifth World Tango Championship, articles associated with the dance have gone on show in a special display.
Tango shoes are usually hand-made in bovine, kid, suede or patent leather. Women’s shoes are highly decorated with a long stiletto heel. Men’s are often in the style of spats, with French heels.
Almost 500 couples from 154 countries are taking part in the championship, which will run until August 26.
