Black, brown and mineral tones

The organisers of the GDS footwear exhibition, to be held next in Düsseldorf between September 13–16, have revealed some trends data for the coming winter season.
They say clear-cut lines and “architectural” shapes will dominate.
In terms of the colour palette designers will use, the GDS team says discretion is the key, with black, browns and “mineral tones” the most prominent.
It believes materials will play an important role too with high-quality nappa, suede, shiny “Brush” (abrasivato) and patent leathers dominating. We will also see two-tone effects and lavish finishes including crocodile prints for luxury and metallic leathers for glamour.
