The German Pontiff failed to make the main list, but the magazine did put him at the top of a separate section covering accessories, thanks to the red leather shoes he wears.
The shoes, from the famous Roman ecclesiastical tailor Gammarreli, have been part of Papal garb for centuries, but Benedict XVI’s preference for shorter cassocks has won them more attention in recent times.Share this story:
