Berghaus declared a ‘Superbrand’
UK-based outdoor brand Berghaus has been awarded Superbrand status by the Superbrands organisation. A panel of experts from the branding body chose the company from a list of potential candidates identified in a consumer survey, which included firms from a range of sectors.
This follows the company’s first ever cinema campaign at the end of 2006, featuring sponsored climber Leo Houlding. This helped to raise Berghaus’ profile and that of the outdoor apparel, footwear and equipment industry as a whole.
In September it will open its first dedicated flagship store in the MetroCentre and will also enter the Japanese market for the first time.
