The ninth Pakistan International Footwear Exhibition, Juft 2007, will be officially opened by president of the Portuguese Footwear Industry Association (APICCAPS) Fortunato Frederico de Oliveira in Lahore on June 23, where some 114 domestic and international firms will exhibit their products, compared with 69 at the last event.

Pakistan's footwear exports increased 0.14% to $9.686 million in April compared with March. However, fiscal year-to-date (July 2006 to April 2007) exports fell 22% to 12.3 million pairs worth $92.905 million compared with 17.6 million pairs worth $118.9 million in the prior-year period.
