New shoe collection from Vaude
Germany-based outdoor apparel and equipment manufacturer Vaude has launched a new shoe collection using its special footmapping concept, which has taken the company’s design team two years to perfect.

Product manager Marco Lachner and his orthopaedic footwear team, led by Andreas Bornmann and Torsten Schröder, have designed ‘shoe lasts’ that are anatomically formed and created in conjunction with various special features to fit the entire foot.
The concept will be officially unveiled at OutDoor 2007 in Friedrichshafen on July 19-22, as will the Trek & Trail collection, which comprises 20 different shoe models, each available in three different colour combinations. It includes lightweight hiking boots for mountain and leisure walking tours, multi-functional cross-over shoes and rugged, all-terrain outdoor sandals.
