Owner of the Bracol brand, the Bertin Group has inaugurated a new 30,500m² safety shoe factory with ten production lines in Lins, São Paulo, Brazil. The new unit employs 850 workers and currently produces three million pairs per year—which it intends to increase to ten million.

Co-ordinator and chief of the Polyurethane Development Department, Carlos Vanzella, said that the factory incorporates state-of-the-art equipment such as a PU supply system for sole injection with 160 ton storage capacity and an automatic mixing system.

Director James Lourenço added, ”Such a large investment will make it possible for us to offer our clients a larger variety of styles, increasingly comfortable shoes with higher performance based on technological research to ensure worker safety.”
