Designer and marketer of fashion footwear and accessories Steven Madden, Ltd. has acquired Compo Enhancements, its outsourced e-commerce solutions provider. It has also appointed Compo’s founder and CEO, Jeffrey Silverman, as president of Steven Madden, Ltd, reporting directly to chairman and CEO, Jamieson Karson. Mr Silverman has 23 years experience in the footwear industry, having served at companies including Florsheim, New Balance, Timberland Kids and ECCO Kids Footwear.

The acquisition will enable the company to fully integrate the e-commerce business into its retail division and operate its online business internally.

All Compo’s employees will be transitioned to Steven Madden, Ltd. and the transaction is expected to be immediately accretive.
