Higher Pakistani footwear exports in March

Pakistan’s footwear exports increased 11.47% in March to reach $9.672 million, compared with $8.677 million in February. However, in the nine-month period from July 2006 to March 2007, exports decreased 21.18% to 10.52 million pairs worth $83.373 million—including leather footwear worth $69.983 million, canvas footwear worth $1.609 million and other footwear worth $11.781 million—compared with 15.102 million pairs worth $105.783 million in the same period a year ago.
