Texas-based footwear company Heelys, Inc. has been awarded the Microsoft 2007 Pinnacle Award in the ‘Role Based Customer Award for Operations and Manufacturing’ category. The company, which designs, markets and distributes a patented brand of wheeled footwear as well as safety gear and apparel uses Microsoft’s Dynamics SL software.

By working with Tribridge, a Microsoft consulting company, the company has streamlined processes and improved operational efficiency. EDI Gateway has also been implemented to automate high volume order entry, shipment tracking and invoicing. As a result, manual processes have been automated, staff hours and data entry errors are said to have been reduced and customer service improved as order volumes increased.

The Pinnacle Awards, established in 1997, are presented annually and recognise customers that have achieved notable accomplishments with their Microsoft Dynamics applications.
