Huntsman Polyurethanes will return to SIMAC later this month with a brand new portfolio of soling solutions.

The company will launch two new additions to its Avalon range at the show—Avalon AST and Avalon ABEP—which have been specifically designed for the casual and athletic shoe markets and are said to provide high performance soling ingredients that are easy to process and can significantly simplify manufacturing techniques.

Huntsman will also present a special preview of its new Avalon Light range—a new TPU solution that is said to offer significant performance benefits in terms of fluidity and colour distribution. A key advantage of the new range will be its capacity for ‘direct on’ application, meaning footwear companies can mould the sole and apply it to the shoe’s upper in a single step.
