US comfort footwear retailer The Walking Company is to open a new location in South Portland, Maine, its first location in the state, on April 13.

The new 1,725 square-foot location will feature the latest styles and designs from more than 40 comfort footwear brands including ECCO, Mephisto, Dansko, Pikolinos, and Beautifeel.

The new store will also feature the Lynco orthotic system and digital foot scanning technology. Customers who come into the store will be able to have their feet scanned to identify their foot type and pressure points, and determine the appropriate Lynco orthotic for their feet.
