Moldflow releases Moldflow Plastics Advisers 8.0

US-based provider of design through manufacturing solutions for the plastics injection moulding industry Moldflow Corporation has launched Moldflow Plastics Advisers (MPA) 8.0, an easy-to-use, solids-based simulation software tool that enables plastics part and mould designers to validate and optimise designs for manufacturability. It features true 3D analysis capability for the accurate simulation of parts with thick, solid regions or excessive variations in wall thickness.
The system is said to improve productivity through a new panel-based user interface which streamlines workflow, provides uninterrupted access to the model, and improves overall user productivity; interpret results with greater efficiency; and increase collaboration through enhanced report generation capabilities which make it possible to automatically generate reports in Microsoft Word or PowerPoint formats as well as HTML.
