Said to be Europe's second-largest shoe retailer, Germany-based Reno has signed a strategic agreement with US-based manufacturer of RF- and RFID-based solutions Checkpoint Systems, Inc. for the supply of an extensive source tagging programme as well as the installation of RF (Radio Frequency)-based security systems at 700 of the company’s stores in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary. Installation has already begun and is expected to be completed by the end of May.

Established in the 1970s, Reno has more than 700 stores employing 5,000 people in 15 countries.
