SATRA to exhibit at Shoes & Leather Guangzhou
UK-based technology centre SATRA will exhibit for the first time at Shoes & Leather Guangzhou, on May 30 to June 2. Company specialist Bill Worswick has been invited to speak at the exhibition, offering advice to Asian footwear and leather industrialists on operating in the European footwear market. He will focus on the size of the market, how it is structured, and regulations that prospective suppliers need to comply with, as well as demonstrating how SATRA could provide help to these companies.
Mr Worswick is one of four specialists who will be present on the company’s stand, with executive director Austin Simmons, equipment sales business manager Stephen Andrew and Vivien Hsieh—who helps to develop SATRA’s membership base in the Asia Pacific region—also attending. The centre will demonstrate one of its Maeser STM 606D testers at the event which is said to recreate the action of the forepart of the shoe when walking.
The exhibition will include a wide range of products across 13 categories including shoe machinery, raw hides, chemicals and shoe components. Organisers are expecting 900 exhibitors and more than 27,000 visitors to take part in the show.
