Pakistan’s footwear exports drop

According to statistics released by Federal Bureau of Statistics, Pakistan's footwear exports fell to $7.721 million in January from $14.699 million in December—a month-on-month decrease of 47.47%.
For the first seven months of the fiscal year (July 2006-January 2007), exports fell 17.3% to 8.09 million pairs worth $64.752 million, from 9.93 million pairs valued at $78.299 million in same period a year earlier. The country exported leather footwear worth $55.076 million, canvas footwear valued at $1.604 million and other footwear worth $8.072 million.
