Strong footwear results at Pacific Brands

Australia -based consumer goods company Pacific Brands Limited has reported that, for its half year ended December 31, net sales increased by 4.1% to reach $868.6 million, while earnings before interest and tax increased by 6.2% to $93.5 million. Net profit of $53.8 million represented a 6.1% increase over the previous period.

The company’s footwear brands posted another strong half with the Hush Puppies and Julius Marlow ranges driving growth in men’s footwear. The lifestyle category also delivered positive results with strong sales at Merrell and Dunlop Volley.
