Off-price US retailer Stein Mart, Inc. has completed the transformation of more than 100 of its shoe departments to stock US branded footwear specialty retailer DSW’s footwear. The introduction of DSW shoes has taken place in all six Arizona, eight Louisiana and five Oklahoma Stein Mart stores and in 29 Texas Stein Mart stores, including the major markets of Dallas, Worth, Austin, and San Antonio.

DSW will now stock a range of men's and ladies' shoes specifically tailored to the Stein Mart customer, which is seen is a “natural complement to Stein Mart's apparel offering”.

Nearly half of Stein Mart’s stores have had DSW shoe departments since

2003. In July, 2006, Stein Mart named DSW as the exclusive lessee and the remaining stores were converted to the DSW offering in January 2007.
