Asian sports shoe manufacturer Pan Group has installed new SATRA SATRAData 6 software at its eight Thai factories in Sriracha, Kabinburi, Bangkok and Ayutthaya.

The SATRAData system is designed to provide accurate and reliable time standards for the various individual elements or tasks carried out during footwear production—including lean manufacturing—and can therefore eliminate the need for conventional time studies.

“We wanted to be able to analyse and implement best methods and standardise procedures to calculate accurate time standards for costing and line balancing,” said Urusaya Christathai, project co-ordinator at Pan Group. “SATRAData 6 has allowed us to do this.”

SATRA has completed on-site training of the personnel using the system and staff from all eight factories are now working together on new models and time standards.
