Insolia high heel insert launched

08/02/2007

US-based footwear comfort technology supplier HBN Shoe, LLC, has launched its Insolia high heel insert.

The insert, which can be used in any high-heeled shoe, is said to shift the body's weight and decrease forefoot pressure, thus reducing the strain on the feet and legs. It is made from a specially developed material which is designed to match the properties of the sole of the foot.

Creator of the Insolia insert, Dr Dananberg, pioneered the use of computerised in-shoe pressure testing in his medical practice. Using this technology, he discovered that high heels shift weight to the forefoot and place the body off-balance and subsequently sought to reverse the weight shift.

The product has now been granted the American Podiatric Medical Association's (APMA) Seal of Acceptance.
