Some 62 companies from the leather and leather-related sectors were presented with export awards and certificates of merit at the India International Leather Fair (IILF), held in Chennai from January 31 to February 3.

Seven companies from the footwear sector were recognised at the awards ceremony. Chennai-based Farida Shoes was presented with a silver trophy for having achieved exports of $34.84 million in 2005-06. K.H leather Industries, Roger Exports, Kavis Fashions, Crew B.O.S Products Ltd., Bharat Tanning Industries and S.V Shoes Enterprises were also presented with awards.
