Thriving China-EU bilateral trade in 2006

According to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), bilateral trade between China and the EU increased by 25.3% in 2006.

The EU remained the most significant trading partner for China in 2006, with bilateral trade reaching $272.3 billion, accounting for 15.5% of its total foreign trade. China exported goods worth $181.98 billion and imported goods worth $90.32 billion from the EU, an increase of 26.6% and 22.7% respectively.
