The Buyer Project at Couromoda—held in São Paulo in January—attracted international buyers including Tokyo-based assistant manager of imports at Homeostyle Inc., Ken-ichi Niiyama, and Kawasaki-based director of Futaba Co Ltd., Katsumoto Togawa who pinpointed Arte e Crença’s handbags and ladies’ footwear and Tricouro’s leather handbags as their personal highlights of the show.
French buyers Clementine and Pierre Colin, directors of Richard Pontverts, also expressed an interest in importing Brazilian goods, focusing their attention on high quality leather footwear using the strobel system. The company produces the Paraboot brand in
The Buyer Project, which was organised by Brazilian Footwear Association, Abicalçados, and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, Apex-Brazil, invites foreign buyers to attend leather and footwear shows in Brazil in the hope of increasing brand awareness and exports for Brazilian manufacturers.
