US-based provider of colour systems and technology Pantone is to introduce its new colour palettes and other style trends for the 2007 autumn/winter season at The WSA Show’s Footwear and Accessories Business Conference, a series of seminars available to the 36,000 participants attending the trade show. The nine seminars will take place at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, on February 1-4. 

On February 2, vice president of the company’s fashion and home sector Tod Schulman will be the conference’s “Trend Lunch” speaker, unveiling eight new colour palettes, launched under the name of ‘Metamorphosis’. Mr Schulman sits on the company’s colour forecasting panel and is a member of the American Color and Trends Committee.

On February 3, the conference will focus on ‘Generation Y’ consumers, aged 27 and under, who comprise 15% of the US workforce. Executive director of consulting firm Merchandising Concepts, Anne Obarski’s seminar will highlight the six critical traits of this ‘Y’ generation, their influences, and their dislikes.

WSA will feature 1,600 exhibitors representing more than 6,000 brands from across the world.
