Abrameq appoints new managing director
The Brazilian Association of Manufacturers of Leather and Footwear Machinery and Equipment (Abrameq) has appointed Marcelo Adriano da Silva as managing director. He takes over from Raul Ludwig who has held the post for three consecutive terms.
A business administrator with a masters degree in Corporate Management, Mr da Silva represented the state at the Brazilian Institute for Quality and Productivity in an international co-operation project with
He also headed up the implementation of the National Small- and Medium-sized Business Support Service strategy for the leather and footwear sectors. As managing director of Abrameq he will work closely with the other sectors in the leather and shoe production chain as well as representing the local machinery industry.
