Bovine leather and safety footwear producer and exporter Bertin's Aguaí (SP) tannery has recently become the first Latin American company in the leather sector to be awarded SATRA certifications in the Laboratory Quality Management System and Leather Grading System categories.  

Bertin Couros is a division of the Bertin Holding Group which operates in the agri-business and infrastructure sectors and markets its leather under the Bracol brand. The company, which has been in the market for over ten years, operates 11 industrial units in Brazil's main leather-producing regions,  processing bovine hides from wet blue to finished leather. Its Lins, Aguaí and Estância Velha tanneries are ISO 9001:2000 certified and the others are currently undergoing the process of certification.
