Amber Robinson, 15, from Lemington Spa, UK, is the youngest recipient to be awarded with the Level A1 Anatom Academy certificate. Daughter of Steve Robinson, Lockwoods Outdoor Manager, Ms Robison who works part time in the store successfully completed the Level A1 Anatom Academy training qualification at New Zealand House London.

During the three days of Level A1 training, Anatom staff trained over 70 retailers and retail staff with an insight into foot biomechanics and boot fitting.

This autumn series of Anatom Academy courses were the first to operate under a new format and level system. Eventually there will be five differing levels of Anatom Academy qualifications each progressively developing foot knowledge, theory and practice. When all five levels are successfully completed the individual will become a fully-qualified pedorthist.

During the recent nationwide series of courses run by Anatom, over 130 shop staff gained their level A1 accreditation. Commenting on the courses, Anatom’s training manager and qualified pedorthist, Andy Blair, commented, “We are extremely pleased with the new format of the Anatom Academy and the amount of people that attended highlighting the fact that retailers recognise the importance of boot fitting within their stores.”
