According to media reports, UK-based footwear retailer Dolcis, owned by Alexon, has been sold to an investment group for approximately £2.7 million. The 67-strong chain was put up for sale over the summer and it was hoped that it would fetch between £15 million and £20 million.

Alexon paid £13.7 million for Electra Investment Trust's stake in Dolcis in 1999 but the retailer has been struggling for some time, making a loss of £2.4 million in the first half of 2006.
