The report covers market share and key operating statistics of 21 major operators including sales and operating profit and margins and provides an analysis of market dynamics and issues, recommendations and market value forecasts up to 2008.
The study states that footwear specialists have lost £146 million in sales in 2006 as clothing and sports specialists have encroached further into the footwear market. Slowing sales and rising costs have also reduced specialists’ investment in new space and upgrading existing space.
