Drew Shoe stresses importance of well-fitting shoes

With more than 43.1 million Americans experiencing foot problems—many of which are caused by ill-fitting shoes—Drew Shoe, provider of therapeutic, orthopaedic and diabetic shoes, is stressing the importance of correct fit.
The company stresses that its line of shoes has health-promoting features, and includes guidelines for consumers such as looking for a firm counter; looking for a wide, rather than pointy toe box; choosing insoles with dual densities to provide cushioning and absorb shock as well as wicking away moisture; opting for full-grain leather for durability; and considering a padded collar to help reduce heel slippage.
