Objet launches Massachusetts operations
Israel-based photopolymer jetting company Objet Geometries is establishing a full-service direct marketing, sales and support operation in the United States. The new operation, serving all of North America, will be located in Billerica, Massachusetts, and is set for official opening on January 1, 2007.
As well as providing support services and managing resin supply for the company's North American customer base, the US office will handle sales and marketing efforts. It will feature a fully-equipped demonstration centre, with working installations of Objet 3-Dimensional Printing systems.
Objet's new US operation will take over from Stratasys, whom Objet has partnered over the past three years to serve the North American market.
Objet Geometries Ltd., develops and manufactures ultra-thin-layer, high-resolution three-dimensional printing systems and materials that utilise PolyJet Polymer Jetting technology, to print ultra-thin 16-micron layers. PolyJet technology and Objet's product platform, which is suitable for use in an office-type facility, is said to enable accurate, clean, smooth and highly detailed three-dimensional models and parts, thus reducing product development cycles in many industries including the footwear sector.
