14/11/2006
Rui Guerreiro, lawyer and business consultant and a current member of the Board of Directors, has been unanimously elected president of the Brazilian Institute for Leather, Footwear and Leathergoods Technology (IBTec).
The new president plans to promote IBTec to all sizes of companies in the sector, and has proposed setting up a project giving small businesses access to state-of-the art technology such as the institute’s biomechanics laboratory.
Guerreiro, who replaces Martinho Fleck, IBTec president for last ten years, will take over on January 1.
