Year-to-date Wilsons Leather store sales fall 14.1%

US leather outerwear, accessories and apparel retailer, Wilsons The Leather Experts Inc., has reported a drop of 14.1% in year-to-date sales for the company’s stores, amounting to $188.3 million compared with $219.1 million for the same period last year.
Comparable store sales decreased 13.5% for the four weeks to the end of October, compared with a 17.4% decrease in comparable store sales for the same month in 2005. Year-to-date comparable store sales decreased 13.9% compared to an increase of 3.1% for the same period last year.
Wilsons Leather currently operates 424 stores in 45 states.
