Brown Shoe names new senior VP and CFO

US-based footwear firm Brown Shoe Company, Inc. has named Mark Hood, former chief financial officer of Panera Bread Co. as senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective October 30.
He has more than 30 years of finance, accounting and managerial experience.
Before joining Panera, Mr Hood held various positions with Saks Fifth Avenue May Department Stores and Arthur Andersen.
He succeeds Andy Rosen, who is retiring after serving more than 30 years with the company. Mr Rosen will assist with the transition and will continue to advise Brown Shoe with respect to pension planning and investment management and other matters.
