Shortage of leather shoe orders at China Export Commodity Fair

According to the China Leather Industry Information Center (CLIIC), most of the shoes that will be exhibited at the China Export Commodity Fair,
CLIIC stated that the number of shoe enterprises attending the fair and the footwear exhibition area will remain the same as last year but that, as a result of EU anti-dumping duties, there will be fewer leather shoe exhibitors at the fair than at previous editions.
The small number of leather shoe-making enterprises attending the fair has been complaining that orders have been diminishing and there are concerns that order levels will not be as high as those attained at last year’s show. There were reports that previous European customers were still watching cautiously and that some had already shifted orders to other Southeast Asian countries.
