El Naturalista featured at Changer D’ère exhibition

Spanish footwear company El Naturalista will be featured at the
Parisian Museum “Cité des Sciences et de l’industrie” for the Changer D’ère (Change of an Era) exhibition as an example of an environmentally-friendly yet modern product. The exhibition starts October 17 and will be opened for the public until the August 12, 2007.The focus of the exhibition is “What can I do, in my everyday life, to enhance and preserve the environment as well as conserve my quality of life?” and will be divided into five sections: ‘Current situation of the earth’, ‘The ecological footprint’, ‘Prolific alliances’, ‘Scenarios of life’ and ‘The Manifest’.

The company will be featured as one of only three shoe brands in the exhibition in the ‘Scenarios of life’ section. Two of its shoes will be featured, both from the Nasca line, inspired by the famous Nasca lines in
Peru. For every Nasca shoe sold €1 is directly donated to a special project chosen by El Naturalista. With the donations of the 2005 collections a school in Peru was built and money from the 2006 and 2007 collections will be used to build a home for disabled and abandoned children in the city of Arequipa in Peru

The company’s own economic manifesto includes promoting natural materials and dyes, avoiding polluting substances, protecting and sustaining the environment, using biodegradable substances and recycled materials where possible.
