Motorcycle gear boosts sales at Leatherup.com
Online leather store Leatherup.com has predicted that sales for 2006 should reach $17.5 million, with sales growth of over 100% compared with 2005 sales. The company partly attributes this growth to the introduction of its waterproof Cordura motorcycle jackets earlier this year which beat all its sales forecasts. Most of the jackets in the line feature full body armour protection, 3M Scotchlite reflective stripes, gel foam padding and 3M Thinsulate lining.
Its Xelement motorcycle boot line with traction control soles has also performed well. Xelement uses a comfort sole and extra comfort padding combined with top grain leather uppers.
