New triple-usage VibramRide sole

29/09/2006

The VibramRide was designed specially for Italian outdoor footwear company Scarpa for its Tornado ski model. The sole adheres to the ISO Alpine and UNI standards and is the first ‘100% rubber’ sole to comply with the TÜV certificate, due to the hard rubber plate positioned at the front of the foot. The plate facilitates the boot releasing from binding during falls, similar to the plastic shell used previously. Off the skis, the risk of slipping and falling is greatly reduced. Whether on skis or on foot, skiers can now move about in more safely.

The sole is suitable for standard downhill skiing, free-riding and Ski Touring. The rubber heel adapts to the different types of bindings.
