Visitor numbers fell slightly at the international footwear exhibition and trade fair Midec, held on September 1-4 in Paris. The numbers slipped from 11,905 in September 2005 to 11,769 this year. Organisers attributed this decline to the schools in France returning earlier than usual.

Despite the fall in visitor numbers there was a positive atmosphere at the show as French and international brands presented their spring/summer 2007 collections.
