US-based designer and wholesaler of branded footwear, accessories, and apparel Jones Apparel Group, Inc. has appointed Anliza Mak as president-Jones International, Ltd., in Hong Kong, effective October 27.

Ms Mak was actively involved in the formation of Jones International, Ltd. and will succeed Sam Tang, who is leaving the company.

Jones Apparel Group designs branded footwear, accessories and apparel and also markets its goods directly through its chain of specialty retail stores, it also operates the Barneys New York chain of luxury stores. The company's brands include Jones New York, Nine West, Bandolino, and Mootsies Tootsies.The company also markets footwear under the Dockers Women brand licensed from Levi Strauss & Co.
