Vystar Corporation has announced that Revertex Malaysia, a division of UK specialty chemicals companies Yule Catto, has signed a letter of intent to produce Vytex—a new latex.

Vytex is a natural rubber latex in which the antigenic proteins that trigger allergic reactions are deactivated without reducing elasticity.

Products made of Vytex latex could reach the market in 2007.

Revertex Malaysia is said to be the world's largest producer of prevulcanised rubber lattices and post vulcanisable latex compounds. It is also said to be the sole producer of evaporated rubber lattices with three manufacturing operation sites in Malaysia and Thailand. These compounds are used by various industries including gloves, shoes and water proofing.
