Designer, marketer and wholesaler of branded footwear, apparel and accessories Jones Apparel Group, Inc. has revealed that its board of directors has concluded its formal sales process and has made the decision not to pursue a sale of the company. The board, in conjunction with the company's financial advisors and management, concluded that at this time the continued execution of the company's strategic plan will create greater long-term value for shareholders than a sale of the company. Jones had announced the exploration of a possible sale in March this year.
