An agreement was signed at a ceremony held on August 9 in Dongguan City, Guangdong, to officially mark the cooperation between Dongguan China Shoes & China International Shoes Fair (CHS).

Since its establishment in 2003, Dongguan China Shoes has been growing continuously in scale. Stable buyer groups have been built up and new buyers are attracted to visit the show every year. Being approved by UFI (the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry) in 2005 has further strengthened the status of Dongguan China Shoes as the only UFI approved middle-to-high end footwear event in Asia.

In cooperation with CHS and the Dongguan Government, Dongguan China Shoes aims to provide an international platform for the industry to introduce Chinese footwear brands to the global market and increase its profit and competitiveness through branding.

CEO of Dongguan China Shoes organiser Messe Dusseldorf China Ltd., Mr Tony Fung, said the alliance “helps to upgrade the production quality in Dongguan and build up the brand of the city."

The 2007 edition of Dongguan China Shoes will be held April 18-20.
