Bangladesh’s exports of finished leather increased by 16% to $259 million and shoe exports by 9% to $95 million between July 2005 and June 2006. The government has particularly commended the readymade garments, seafood and leather sectors for export growth.

Exports surpassed the $10.16 billion target by 3.61% according to data from the Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau.
