Crocs posts 231.8% revenue increase in Q2
US-based footwear designer, manufacturer and marketer Crocs, Inc. has reported its financial results for the second quarter ended June 30.
Revenues for the second quarter increased 231.8% to $85.6 million compared with revenues of $25.8 million for the second quarter ended
Net income for the second quarter was $15.7 million compared with $3.3 million for the second quarter of 2005. Net income for the six-month period was $22.1 million compared with $5.3 million the previous year.
President and chief executive officer Ron Snyder commented, "Our second quarter results were much stronger than we anticipated due to increased demand for our footwear both domestically and overseas. Gross profit for the quarter was $47 million, or 54.8% of revenues, compared with gross profit of $14 million, or 54.2% of revenues for the prior year period. Gross profit for the six-month period was $70.6 million, or 54.1% of revenues, compared with $20.8 million, or 56.7% of revenues for corresponding period in 2005.
