Q2 sales decline at Foot Locker
New York-based athletic footwear and apparel retailer Foot Locker, Inc. has reported sales of $1,303 million for the 13-week period ended July 29, compared with $1,304 million in the corresponding period last year, a decrease of 0.1%. For this same 13-week period, comparable store sales decreased 1.3%.
For the 26-week period ended July 29, sales decreased by 0.5% to $2,668 million from $2,681 million in the same period in 2005. Comparable store sales for the company's first six months of its 2006 fiscal year decreased 0.4%.
Excluding the effect of foreign currency fluctuations, total sales for the 13-week and 26-week periods decreased 1.2% and 0.5% respectively.
