US- based athletic footwear designer and manufacturer K-Swiss Inc. has reported improved financial results for the second quarter ended June 30.

Net earnings for the quarter increased 21.3% to $20. 3 million compared with $16.7 million in the prior-year period. Net earnings for the first six months, increased 6.1% to $45.24 million compared with $42.62 million in 2005.

For the second quarter, total world-wide revenues decreased 1.8% to $124.19 million compared with $126.47 million in the prior-year period. Domestic revenues decreased 14.7% to $81.11 million, while international revenues increased 37.3% to $43.08 million.

Total world-wide revenues for the first six months of 2006 decreased 1.9% to $274.18 million compared with $279.61 million in 2005. Domestic revenues decreased 13.3% to $184.49 million in the first half, while international revenues increased 34% to $89.68 million.
