75% of Brits suffer foot problems while on holiday
A somewhat self-serving study by outerwear, footwear and accessories company Gore-tex has revealed that three out of four British holidaymakers suffer from foot problems while on holiday, with 36% stating that the problem disrupted their holiday.

Women were found to be the greatest sufferers, reporting blistered, cut, swollen, sweaty, smelly or sore feet.

Gore Footwear Comfort physiologist Mark Peikart said, “Many foot problems, such as sore feet, are caused by the feet becoming wet – not just from wet weather or puddles but also from sweat inside the shoe.”

Shoes made with the company's Gore-tex XCR membrane are said to be 100% waterproof, while at the same time drawing sweat away from the foot and out of the shoe. This could help to appease the problems faced by holiday makers who are looking for comfort and protection in the shoes they take away.
