More than 20 shoe makers from Wenzhou, China, signed orders of over $10 million at Expo Riva Schuh, June 10-14. Buyers also offered future orders of around $40 million for the near future.

Director of the Wenzhou Footwear & Leather Association Mr Chen Xi Qiang revealed that these enterprises used hand-made leather shoes as key products to avoid anti-dumping duties imposed of Chinese leather shoes by the EU.

The organisers of Expo Riva Schuh said that over 80% of the Wenzhou shoe enterprises that attended had already offered to continue attending the special pavilion set for Chinese enterprises.
